Multiple contributors

Medicine for Sweet Dreams is a food-based workshop and performance blending self-isolation, food, and online gathering into a social nourishing and culinary performance. Sachin will facilitate a cooking experience in which audiences can join along or view as spectators to the performance. Sudra will bring basic ingredients together alongside sacred Vedic readings to make a meal and create a space for collective relaxation. His performance will bring together elements of Ayurvedic cooking to engage the five senses: touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound to transport participants to distant memories of comfort, or even transport them to a deeper presence in the now. The broadcast will blend isolation, online streaming, and screen-to-screen gathering with ancient indigenous knowledge of Ayurveda for the benefit of each viewers’ body, mind, and spirit.
